Reason for celebration

Kelly played her 50th game for Shooters Netball Club on the first day back for the 2015 season and a more perfect day you could not get. Sun shining, nice temperature for playing outdoor netball, and not a rain drop in sight.

Introduced into the club by a friend, Kelly was a star from day one. Playing and competing interstate through indoor netball, Kelly brought what she had learned and used those skills in outdoor.

Be a tidy Shooter - clean up roster

It's not sexy, picking up rubbish, particlarly other people's rubbish.

Noranda have issued all clubs with the "Clean up roster" for the season, and Shooters are rostered on for the first week. Saturday April 2, 2015.

If we all, other clubs members included, do our bit to make sure we take responsibility for what we bring to the courts, in a perfect world, a roster would not be needed. But unfortunately that isn't the reality.

2015 fixtures are online now

Noranda Netball Association have released the fixtures for the 2015 season and they are encouraging us to view them online.

This is a great way to support a healthy environment and our clubs or individual coaches by not using paper, ink and electricity. As they say, every little bit helps and with an association the size of Noranda, it adds up to a lot!

You can access the fixtures by:

Ballajura Mural Project

Have you noticed the new brick building on Kingfisher Oval at the end of the carpark, to the south of the netball courts? This will soon be the facility where Shooters get to store our equipment. Whoop Whoop!

The Ballajura Mural Project is a community project that the City of Swan, and supported by Shooters Netball Club, will be working on with young people in the local area to paint a mural on the walls of this building.

Shooters Catchup - April 2015

Coach Needed
Shooters are looking for a senior grade Coach. If you would like to share your knowledge of netball with a friendly bunch of girls, then this may be the perfect opportunity for you. All equipment is provided and training can be either Tuesday or Wednesday evenings. If you are interested, contact Richelle at info@shootersnetball.org.au.

Learn a new skill, become an umpire!

This is an awesome way to learn the game of netball, understand why some of the calls are made, become more self-confident and to give back to the club.

As in the past, Shooters are holding umpiring clinics where you will learn in a small group of other Shooters members, how to run the game of netball.

There are a few things you will need to do prior to coming along to a session, which are outlined here.

Round 2 of AM Junior grading

Thursday Feb 19 (this Thursday) Shooters members aged 11, 12 and 13 this year are asked to come down for another run around and show our selection panel your best netball skills on court.

We also have a couple of spots left to fill, so if you have some friends who would like to play netball, bring them along too.

Same place, Ballajura Netball courts, Kittyhawk Parade, same time, 6 - 8pm.

See you there.
